Leading Pro-Israel Groups at Wash U Condemn Horowitz Advertisement

Wash U Students for Israel and J Street U wrote a strong response to a recent David Horowitz Freedom Center advertisement in the student newspaper titled, "The Palestinians’ case against Israel is based on a genocidal lie" (page 13).

Here's an excerpt from the response:
First, and most fundamentally, the ad was blatantly racist and the use of the label “genocide” was extreme and malicious, especially coming from an individual who has made previously problematic statements. StudLife suggests that the ad will “cause anger in some people while eliciting admiration and respect in others.” If we, the pro-Israel groups on campus, find this ad offensive, who exactly does StudLife believe will “admire” the opinions of the ad? The StudLife disclaimer does little to assuage our anger—do the benefits of creating controversy or debate outweigh the deficits of offending a strong majority of the student population?
Other interesting student reactions can be seen here, here, and here.

The RFT also reported on Senior Sarah Rangwala's organizing efforts in response to the advertisement.

Loesch Claims Gay Soldier Booed by GOP Crowd Was Asking a "Gotcha Question"

Dana Loesch, in full disconnected-from-reality spin mode, is denying that GOP crowds have consistently embarrassed themselves with inappropriate cheering and booing at the Republican primary debates. First a GOP crowd loudly cheered for the high number of executions in Texas, then they cheered for letting an uninsured man die, and most recently some in the crowd booed gay soldier Stephen Hill when he asked the candidates if they would prevent him from being allowed to serve openly.

Loesch, in a move reminiscent of the time she demanded that a woman should apologize for having her neck stomped on by a Rand Paul supporter, has declared that the solider was asking a "gotcha question" by wondering if he would be allowed to serve his country. Here's what Loesch ridiculously claimed:
An individual, via those in attendance, hollered at the health care story and the audience rebuked them. Two men booed the gotcha question posed by a gay soldier and they were so strongly rebuked for booing that the audience’s hisses and shushes overpowered the volume of the rude men’s outburst.
This is the question from Hill that Loesch called a "gotcha question:"
Do you intend to circumvent the progress that has been made for gay and lesbian soldiers in the military?
And in case you missed it the first time, you can watch the video and judge for yourself whether Loesch's claims have any plausibility here:

Also of interest, in light of Charles Johnson's documentation of the pattern of racist comments at Breitbart's sites, is that one of Breitbart's commenters immediately compared homosexuality to bestiality:
Tell us all, please: When did you last father a child on a member of the same sex? Okay, now tell us when you fathered a child with a member of another species.

We'll wait.
Wonder how Loesch will spin that one? Oh wait, she can't, because she's done the same thing.

Carnahan Congratulates St. Louis and University City on Green-Lighted Loop Trolley Project

Press Release:
Today, Russ Carnahan (MO-3) congratulated residents of St. Louis and University City on news that $2.8 million of the $25 million federal grant has been committed for the trolley project planned for the St. Louis and University City Loop. These funds will help to manage the design phase of the project.

“Residents of St. Louis and University City worked hard on this proposal,” said Carnahan. “Their dedication and effective advocacy has secured the money needed to complete the Loop Trolley and make this vision a reality.”

The project was selected for a federal grant on a competitive basis from the Urban Circulator Program, and the project selection was first announced in March. Notice of the final award amount was given today, September 19, 2011. When finished, the Loop Trolley will serve as a fully-modern 2.2 mile fixed-rail streetcar system for passengers in St. Louis and University City.

Dana Loesch Admits Cheering While Tea Party Torched Russ Carnahan's Photo. Did She Also Chant "Death To the Dictator?"

Dana Loesch, the St. Louis Tea Party, and Fox News naturally spent Labor Day smearing unions with dishonest editing, cause that's what they do. What was especially funny about this was Dana Loesch hyperventilating about this situation, considering that Hoffa's comments were pretty mild compared to her daily hate speech. In fact, I thought it would be a good time to point out when Dana Loesch said "I love the way a fire smells when it's burning tyranny" while the St. Louis Tea Party set fire to a photo of Congressman Russ Carnahan at a protest outside of his office (this is the day before they carried a coffin to his home):

Here's what I tweeted:

Here's how Loesch responded:

What's interesting about this is that Loesch previously never admitted that she was there. I recognized her voice in the video and wrote about it and she accused me of "lying" (I assume over the technicality that she wasn't holding the match). Now she's changed her story to "it's OK because I just took video." Actually, it's not OK to take video and say "I love the way freedom smells when it's burning tyranny" while setting a photo of a congressman on fire. It's really pretty creepy.

Not only that, but Loesch's friend and fellow leader of the St. Louis Tea Party Jim Gateway Pundit Hoft, who bragged about "booting and torching Carnahan," said in his post that the crowd chanted "death to the dictator" while burning the photo. So if Loesch was at the rally videotaping and making comments about how awesome it was to "burn tyranny," did she also do the death chant with her fellow tea partiers? It's pretty clear that the video is spliced up and missing quite a bit in the middle. Is this really someone CNN should be having on to blather about "heated rhetoric on the Left?"

Highly Credible Tea Party Claims They Were Assaulted At McCaskill Event - Updated

I know this is going to come as a shock, but the St. Louis Tea Party has decided that, rather than talking about the actual issues, they'd rather scream that there was a OMGZ #BLOODBATH ASSAULTZ!!! at a recent McCaskill event. The incident wasn't caught on video, and the claim is apparently based entirely on the testimony of Jen Ennenbach, who says that two large men were "somehow standing on her legs:"
Finally, the second man went for John’s camera and in a final push, knocked John into me and I was then slammed into the wall, hitting my head and shoulder, and somehow had two men standing on my legs.
Ennenbach called the event a "bloodbath" on Twitter:

And the story was pushed by, of course, Ed Martin:

Since this entire story is based on the claims of Ennenbach, I thought it might be helpful to share some of her other recent blog posts. My favorite is a post I affectionately call "I Saw a Military Truck! Martial Law is Coming!!!"
I noticed lately, that I had been seeing an unusually higher number of military convoys with large/ heavy equipment moving through both Illinois and Missouri as of late, but never really gave it a second thought. . .that is until I ran across THIS today:

Now I want to know what is really going on. . .far too many reports to be pure coincidence! Why the secrecy? Are we gearing up for the 10 year anniversary of 9/11? Preparing for Libya? Is Martial Law about to be enacted?

If it is the latter, I’m headed out to stock up on water, batteries and toilet paper. . .you can never have too much!
She also had a nice post titled The FED Will Take Over ALL Communication on 11-9-2011!!!

After the shooting in Arizona, Ennenbach declared that this was the beginning of "civil war."

She also declared that Carnahan's victory over Ed Martin was the result of a conspiracy and claimed that her phone lines were tapped.

I'm also pretty sure that during the Prop B debate, she tweeted that a Prop B supporter jumped over her fence and punched her dog before disappearing into the night, but I'll have to track down the screen shot to make sure of that.

Yeah, so maybe, just maybe, the tea party and sketchy politicians like Martin should exercise some caution before declaring this a brutal beatdown.

Update: As if on cue, Ennenbach now claims that "progressive thugs" have hacked her Twitter account, apparently being especially sneaky by using the exact same spam that every other spam account uses:
